Great use of the Internet

My father recently moved out of my boyhood home in southern New Jersey and came across quite the treasure trove of early Cheese art in a box in the basement. Among the now priceless works was this ‘ad’ for my fathers advertising agency, circa 1985 (age 13-14) or so. I used to set up a table at the local comic convention in my home town and draw ninja turtles for $2 a pop. Amazingly, I actually sold a few. I did con sketches up through high school, eventually getting pretty good at drawing a select handful of my favorite characters, Captain Britain, Blue Devil, Ted Kord Blue Beetle, Spider-Man and TMNT. Seeing this particular image motivated me to draw a ninja turtle in my sketchbook (fig. 2). I think I might be able to ask $3 for it, MOVIN ON UP!

Cheese

So a few weeks back I started playing Dungeons & Dragons with some folks including Ho12 regulars Dave McKenna, Miss Lasko-Gross with Ho12#4 alum Chris Radtke as DM. This is my character, D’Taco, he’s a Tiefling Warlock sex machine to all the chicks. Our first week he got into some trouble with an Orc and was saved by his pseudodragon, PseudoFizzy (pictured above). We’re meeting every few weeks, I’ll post an image or two from each of our adventures.

We’re Back! Announcing House of Twelve number Six!

I am proud to announce the return of House of Twelve! It’s been a nearly five years since the last issue, and we’re back with a new, huge anthology of weird comics for your enjoyment. House of Twelve number Six is a full-color, 180-page, manga-sized monster of awesome.

House of Twelve number Six collects all four issues of our 2010-2012 digital series and includes not only the stories that got censored out by Apple, but also a never-seen-before, super-special fifth issue. Inside you’ll find stories from Miss Lasko-Gross (a special look at an early version of her upcoming graphic novel, ‘Henni’), David Paleo, Victor Cayro, Kate Lacour, Sam Henderson, Dave McKenna, Frank Reynoso & Adam McGovern, Fred Noland, Nick Jeffrey, K. Thor Jensen, Darryl Ayo (including his 2012 Ignatz Award Winning story, ‘Ghost!’) and myself.

Look for House of Twelve number Six to make its debut at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD,  Sept. 12-14. In the meantime, check out this gallery of great stuff from the book.

While I wouldn’t call anything House of Twelve has put out “erotica,” with the exception of House of Twelve#5: Touching Children’s Stories (our all ages anthology), everything else on our table is certainly NSFW. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for our 2014 debut, House of Twelve #6, a full color, 180-page collection of comics that were included in our digital book, as well as an all new unpublished issue.

However, at our SPX table this year you will find Dave McKenna’s landmark Kaiju/Porn comic, Monstaland. Also check out the offerings from our friends and table-neighbors Darryl Ayo and Kate Lacour, both of whom have piles of comics considered dirty.

nsfw-at-spx:

It seems like every year, I leave SPX and find out three days later that there was a great erotic anthology at the show that I missed out on. I hate to think of how many other people didn’t know about it, either.

This Tumblr seeks to change that. Are you a creator of adult comics material that…
