We’re Back! Announcing House of Twelve number Six!
I am proud to announce the return of House of Twelve! It’s been a nearly five years since the last issue, and we’re back with a new, huge anthology of weird comics for your enjoyment. House of Twelve number Six is a full-color, 180-page, manga-sized monster of awesome.
House of Twelve number Six collects all four issues of our 2010-2012 digital series and includes not only the stories that got censored out by Apple, but also a never-seen-before, super-special fifth issue. Inside you’ll find stories from Miss Lasko-Gross (a special look at an early version of her upcoming graphic novel, ‘Henni’), David Paleo, Victor Cayro, Kate Lacour, Sam Henderson, Dave McKenna, Frank Reynoso & Adam McGovern, Fred Noland, Nick Jeffrey, K. Thor Jensen, Darryl Ayo (including his 2012 Ignatz Award Winning story, ‘Ghost!’) and myself.
Look for House of Twelve number Six to make its debut at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD, Sept. 12-14. In the meantime, check out this gallery of great stuff from the book.
While I wouldn’t call anything House of Twelve has put out “erotica,” with the exception of House of Twelve#5: Touching Children’s Stories (our all ages anthology), everything else on our table is certainly NSFW. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for our 2014 debut, House of Twelve #6, a full color, 180-page collection of comics that were included in our digital book, as well as an all new unpublished issue.
However, at our SPX table this year you will find Dave McKenna’s landmark Kaiju/Porn comic, Monstaland. Also check out the offerings from our friends and table-neighbors Darryl Ayo and Kate Lacour, both of whom have piles of comics considered dirty.

It seems like every year, I leave SPX and find out three days later that there was a great erotic anthology at the show that I missed out on. I hate to think of how many other people didn’t know about it, either.
This Tumblr seeks to change that. Are you a creator of adult comics material that…
Here’s my process for the new cover of House of Twelve #6, debuting at SPX next month. With only a day or two left until it had to go to the printer, the books interiors were complete, but I still lacked a cover. I needed something that reflected the nature of the book, which is a print collection of digital comics we did in 2010-2012 with some new material. I came up with the idea of scribes in the middle ages who would copy books by hand, creating new copies of previously created stories, I did a little research and found a great image that would suit my needs with a bit of tweaking (replacing one of his pens, or knives I think, with an iphone, and turning poor Edwine the scribe into myself). I imported the image into Manga Studio 5 EX and started the process of swiping a piece of art from a thousand years ago. The entire thing took about five hours, from concept to completion.
Cover for the never released, or I guess soon-to-be released, House of Twelve Monthly #5. Look for us at first light at SPX.
